How to use these worksheets

  1. Print at 100% scale on US Letter. Check "actual size" in the print dialog so the guide lines keep their spacing.
  2. Use a sharp pencil. Trace the dotted letters, starting at the first stroke of the model.
  3. When the dotted copies feel easy, cover the model and write the letter from memory on the blank lines.
  4. Keep sessions to ten or fifteen minutes. Stop when your letters start to drift.

Worksheet questions

Are the worksheets free?

Yes. They are free to download and print for personal and classroom use. Please do not resell them or host copies elsewhere; link to this page instead.

Which cursive style do they use?

Traditional American school cursive, simplified to a single line. Lowercase letters match most school programs closely; capitals vary between programs, so follow your teacher's model for those if it differs.

Can I print on A4?

The ready-made PDFs are US Letter. The worksheet generator can produce A4 sheets for any text.

Do you have worksheets for sentences and numbers?

Yes: the words and sentences sheet and the cursive numbers sheet are above. You can also build a sentence sheet with the generator.
