What a cursive translator does (and does not do)

A cursive translator changes how text is written, not what language it is in. It takes the letters you type in print and shows them as cursive handwriting. It does not translate English into another language.

This one gives you three views of your text: an animated model of the pen path, a school-style cursive font, and Unicode cursive text you can paste elsewhere. In the other direction, it converts cursive-style Unicode text back to ordinary letters, which is useful when a bio or message was written with a fancy-text tool.

It cannot read real handwriting from a photo or a scan. If you want to understand a handwritten note, the cursive alphabet pages show how each letter is formed, and the stroke guides make it easier to recognize unfamiliar letters, such as the capital Q or the lowercase z.

Cursive translator questions

Can it translate cursive handwriting from a photo?

No. Reading handwriting from images needs a different kind of tool. This translator converts typed text. It can also convert cursive-style Unicode text, but not handwriting.

Why is some of my text missing from the handwriting model?

The model draws letters, digits and a few punctuation marks. Accented letters, symbols and emoji are skipped, and the list of skipped characters is shown under the model.

What is the difference between the translator and the generator?

The translator shows how your text is actually written by hand, joins included. The cursive generator focuses on stylized fonts and downloadable images.
