A worksheet for every letter

Each sheet covers one letter: the capital, the lowercase form, common joins and practice words, with blank lines at the bottom.

How to practice the whole alphabet

  1. Print the basic strokes warm-up and spend a few minutes on loops, ovals, humps and cups.
  2. Work through the lowercase sheet two or three rows at a time. The rows pair letters that are drawn alike.
  3. Use the single-letter sheets for anything that still feels awkward. Letters such as s, r, k and z usually need extra rows.
  4. Move to the uppercase sheet once lowercase feels steady. Capitals are written alone, so each one is a separate movement.

Alphabet sheet questions

Can I print just one letter?

Yes. Every letter above has its own one-page PDF. They are also on the letter pages, next to the tracing pad.

Why are letters printed in pairs?

Pairs keep the sheet compact, and the order groups letters that share a movement, so the second letter in each row reuses what you just practiced.

Is there a sheet with the connecting strokes?

Yes: the connecting letters worksheet groups common pairs by join type. Details are on the lowercase letters page.
